Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is proud to be a sponsor of professional triathlete and IRONMAN® competitor, Balazs Csoke of The Woodlands, Texas. Csoke, competes in multiple triathlon events each year including:
- 2013 IRONMAN Texas The Woodlands: 7th place
- 2012 and 2013 CB&I Triathlon The Woodlands: 1st place
- 2011 IRONMAN Korea: 1st place
He was also invited to compete in the 2013 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii after finishing 4th place in the IRONMAN Lake Placid on July 27th.
Csoke, known as Balazs by fellow athletes, is originally from Hungary. He moved to The Woodlands after the 2011 Texas IRONMAN competition. He is now the head coach at TriTactics, a local multi-sport training facility that focuses on preparing athletes for triathlon events.
Dr. Keith Johnson, one of the SROSM Sports Medicine Specialists began training with Balazs in preparation for the 2013 IRONMAN Texas. "Not only did we become friends, it became clear that we could help each other in our competitions," said Dr. Johnson. "It has been a pleasure for SROSM to come along side Balazs as a world class athlete who will compete in Kona this year. We have enjoyed the opportunity to support him and celebrate in his great successes as a professional triathlete. It is our mission at SROSM to not only help the recreational athlete but also those that compete at the highest levels."
