Each year the Arthritis Foundation recognizes leaders in the medical community that continually fight to conquer arthritis. We are excited to announce that Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics' own Dr. Brian Flowers is this year’s Medical Honoree! Dr. Flowers is honored to be nominated and excited about working with the Arthritis Foundation for such an amazing cause.
Dr. Flowers is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Joint Preservation surgery, Complex Reconstruction and Deformity Correction, and Joint Replacement surgery, including the use of the Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery System. Dr. Flowers became involved in this specialty because of his belief in approaching orthopedic surgery from a different angle. Instead of treating a joint after it is damaged, his approach corrects the malalignment that would lead to debilitating arthritis in the future whether it be in the hip, knee or ankle. He also has the skill set to perform joint replacement procedures for those who already have advanced arthritis. Dr. Flowers also has in-depth knowledge and skills for correcting bowlegs, knock knees and multiple post-traumatic deformities.
The Arthritis Foundation is sponsoring their annual Jingle Bell Run this year at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center in the Woodlands on Saturday, December 9th beginning at 8:00 a.m. This is a fun way to get decked out in your favorite holiday costume, tie jingle bells to your shoelaces, and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability. 100% of your registration fee and fundraising efforts go to this great cause.
To register for the run or to make a donation to the Arthritis Foundation please go to Dr. Flowers' and Team SROSM’s team page. Together let's make a difference in the fight against arthritis!
