Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) taken on a daily basis has been shown in a number of studies to reduce migraine frequency by nearly 50%. Vitamin B2 may work in the mitochondrial chain (the powerhouse of the cell) and improve cell metabolism. Vitamin B2 can also be obtained from dietary sources such as mushrooms, spinach, almonds, salmon, eggs and sun-dried tomatoes.

Recipe: Baked Salmon with Sauteed Spinach and Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • Wild caught salmon 1 large fillet
  • Olive oil 1 tsp
  • Himalayan salt 1 tsp
  • Dill weed 1 tbsp
  • 1 whole fresh garlic clove, sliced
  • 1 whole lemon, sliced
  • ½ white onion, diced

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350

Coat salmon fillet with olive oil, salt and dill weed. Top salmon with lemon slices. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily.

While fish is cooking, sautee the onion, garlic slices and mushrooms with 1 tbsp olive oil until tender.

Serve the cooked salmon topped with sauteed vegetables
