Megan Walton, PTA
Megan Walton is a Texas native Physical Therapist Assistant practicing at our Woodlands location. She graduated high school and attended Louisiana State University to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. During this time at LSU she spent extracurricular time at Pennington Biomedical Research Center researching ways to improve functional outcomes of people at risk for falling, and exercise science to improve blood level markers for Type 2 Diabetes. She was also a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity until graduation in 2009.
After several years in medical office management she went back to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant, and graduated from the Lone Star College Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2014. Megan has had experience in stroke rehab, traumatic brain injury, geriatric rehab, and sports medicine. She has been a team member at SROSM since 2017 and enjoys working with patients to bring them back to their best selves! She has a large interest in preventive strengthening, spinal rehab, bloodflow restriction therapy as a strengthening technique, and post-operative rehab of the lower extremities.
Outside of the therapy realm Megan volunteers with her church and local anti-human trafficking organizations to prevent the rise of this in the Houston area. She has a wonderful husband and two little girls to love on at home.
