The Woodlands, TX, October 15, 2012- Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is pleased to welcome N. Brian Flowers, M.D., M.P.T., expert orthopedic surgeon and joint specialist, to their practice in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Flowers received his Bachelor of Health Science, Masters of Physical Therapy, and Doctorate of Medicine from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at New York Medical College in New York, NY. He is fellowhip trained in complex reconstruction and limb lengthening, which brings specialized expertise to his orthopedic skills for Houston-area patients.

Dr. Flowers is dedicated to getting to know his patients and understanding their needs. "Healing is the key for all my patients. I take time and learn about their goals and lifestyle, and ensure we work together for the best results," he said. Patients benefit from his unique skills and specialization in joint preservation surgery, complex reconstruction and deformity correction (such as bowlegs and knock-knees), and joint replacement surgery. He can perform joint replacement or joint repair procedures for patients with advanced arthritis in their hips, knees, or ankles.

Dr. Flowers encourages patients with joint misalignments to have this treated when a patient is younger, before it leads to debilitating arthritis as they age. "The quicker we can protect the patient's joints, the longer the results will benefit them. It's possible to delay or eliminate joint pain by treating patients at a younger age and avoid more serious joint procedures later in life."

"Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is pleased to add the exceptional skills and talent of Dr. Flowers to our practice. Patients in The Woodlands and the Houston area will greatly benefit from his additiion to our orthopedic group," said Dr. William Hayes.

Dr. Flowers is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Associaton, the National Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Assocation. He enjoys mountain biking, triathlons and auto racing and resides in The Woodlands with his wife, who is a local dermatologist, and their two children.
