The Woodlands, TX, June 4, 2012- Hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon William Jackson, D.O. has joined Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Jackson graduated medical school from Midwestern University in Chicago and Phoenix and completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Ohio University. During his residency he served as chief resident in his final year and then undertook his surgical fellowship training at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in the Combined Hand/Upper Extremity fellowship in Boston, Massachusetts. Before moving to Houston, Dr. Jackson practiced in Austin and California in hand/upper extremity and general orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Jackson is a very compassionate and talented orthopedic surgeon. Having an accomplished family physician as a father, Dr. Jackson knew from an early age that he desired to be a physician. Further direction was provided during his undergraduate years when he was able to spend extensive time with a distinguished hand surgeon for Carpel Tunnel Syndrom. From that point on, Dr. Jackson became dedicated to learning the skills necessary to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to the hand and upper extremities in order to restore function and enhance individual lives. He joins the practice with Dr. William Hayes and Dr. Keith Johnson.

While traveling through Scandinavia during his orthopedic residency, Dr. Jackson met his future wife in Finlands. Dr. Jackson is interested in nearly every form of art, sport, culture, outdoor activity and environmental pursuit, but tends to spend most of his time with his wife and two young daughters.
